August 10th-12th happens to be the dates of an amazing, free online writing conference I am proud to have a part in. No, I’m not some amazing special person in the publishing world. I’m just another author trying to make it into something amazingly special in the publishing world. I helped by submitting the first five pages of Life of a Suburban Unicorn.
I don’t even know if they’ll use it, and if they do it won’t be a critique, it’ll be for material. Something for the agent to make a point on. Probably a bad point. I’m a little nervous, but also a little excited. I want to see what they’re going to do.
Since yesterday marked the first day of it, I logged in to see if they’d used it, and found a big fat forbidden message on it. This is what I got up at the crack of dawn to see? Talk about disappointing.
I’m not giving up though, and I highly recommend you lurk too. WriteOnCon had some great stuff lined up for us.

Most of the videos and stuff I’m watching later, as I don’t have the ability to skip work for three days. *sigh*
