Since my sister disappeared, my mother and I have spoken almost daily on the phone. I’m surprised how much I enjoy these conversations, since most of the time I keep phone calls down to once every 3 months. I don’t mean to be anti-social. I just hate phones. Unfortunately, phone is the only way to reach my parents these days.
There is no new news on my sister, but my mother is doing something new. She started writing for Associated Content. The economy has been tough on everyone, and my mother is currently unemployed. I’m not doing so well with my job either. She proudly told me she’d made $120 this month.
“$120 isn’t that much,” I pointed out.
“It’s $120 more than I had before,” she shot back.
She had a point. So, bowing to my mother’s advice, I spent the weekend working on dog related articles to submit to Associated Content. My assistant, Rocco the Chihuahua, was glad to help. ^^ Together we wrote and got pictures for an article on tooth brushing and ear cleaning for dogs. We had a blast, and Rocco was soooo proud he could help mom do anything.
Because I had so much fun doing it, I’m going to keep doing it, and post the links as/if they get published every Wednesday. ^^ I hope some of you will consider reading my articles, and passing them on to anyone you know who has dogs. I’d really love to try my hand at becoming a full-time freelancer, even if it does mean mom was right…

Working with dogs seems like it would be a rewarding job. I hope your endeavor with Associated Content is successful. Blessings to you…

Hey I think that’s a great step! It gets you writing consistently and possibly paid! Woohoo! More power to ya!

I agree with Jess …. the whole possibly paid is GREAT!

Your sister has disappeared as in family feud or she actually got kidnapped or something? You sound like you’re actually happy that she disappeared.
Feb 10, 2011 @ 05:46:57
No, I am not happy that my sister disappeared. I am also hurt and shocked that you would say such a thing. Please do not ever comment on my blog again, because I do not want to know you, or anything more about you than what this comment has said.
Thank you.

Don’t mind, keep moving.
To get over, doing somthing is important, I think.

when someone you love is missing … it is very hard to live … even if you make it look like it is a breeze. I hope you find answers soon.

Thank you for that. I am trying to keep my personal life out of this blog, as I mentioned before in the previous post. Because of that, I may come off sounding like I don’t care because I am only indirectly mentioning my sister.
It’s very hard sitting around doing nothing, waiting forever in the hopes that one of the dozens of people working on finding her come up with something. I’ll do everything I can to get her back, but I wish she’d never left in the first place.

Mom’s are almost always right. And remember this, even when they aren’t they meant to be. 🙂
Just new to your blog and catching up. Sending you positive energy for your sister to return.

Oh sick. What a jerk Nabeel is. Some people, hiding behind the anonymity of the internet, think it’s ok to be complete tools.
Anyways… Good luck with your sister. Your blog itself seems very interesting 🙂

Rocco is soooo cute! Love his little pink nose ❤
Good luck on the articles for Associated Content. I'll be happy to read 'em. 🙂

Hi A.M.
I was popping over to see how you were going with Write1Sub1, and therefore have only just read about all you’ve been going through over the past month 😦
Here’s hoping your sister is found safe and well! And well done to you and your Mom for finding ways to keep busy.

“Woof Wednesday” reminds me of my friend Gaelen (she and other dog lovers do WW posts on twitter). Do you know her dog blog?

I used to think chihuahuas were, well, kind of creepy. Then I met one and she was the sweetest little thing. Yeah, a bit yappy and nervous, but when she looked at me with those big brown eyes…
